Essendon are proud to be part of the AFL and AFLW Community Camps, an annual event that allows us to connect with passionate Bombers fans and communities across Australia. Each year, our players and coaches head out to regional and remote areas, where we engage with local schools, football clubs, and community groups to share our love for the game.
The Community Camps give us the chance to:
Engage with our fans: We visit schools and clubs, meeting supporters who might not have the opportunity to see us play live.
- Help grow participation: Our players run training sessions that highlight the fun and joy of playing footy.
- Support grassroots football: We’re passionate about growing the game at the community level. These camps allow us to mentor young players, offer coaching clinics, and provide local clubs with valuable resources and support.
- Give back: We use these camps to make a positive impact on the lives of people in the areas we visit, where you can get your favourite players signature or take a photo with them.
For us, these camps are about more than just football—they’re a way to strengthen our bond with the communities that support the Bombers year in and year out.
