Bomber Kids is a new Early Learning program that has been carefully designed to align to the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), as well as elements of the Victorian Curriculum (Foundation Level).
Using Essendon and AFL themed activities, the incursion program focuses on physical activity, participation and school readiness, whilst teaching the importance of communication, language and social and emotional development.
Delivered by trained Essendon Football Club staff, the session will run for 45 minutes with activities, games and Q and A focused on teamwork and cooperation.
Program Goals: Participants will…
- gain an appreciation of the significance of physical activity, outdoor recreation, and sport.
- demonstrate fundamental movement skills, such as running and jumping.
- develop hand/eye and hand/foot coordination through activities including handballing and kicking
- cooperate with others and demonstrate characteristics of a good sport when participating in physical activity.
- develop school readiness through activities involving active listening, teamwork and turn taking.
- build their communication skills by listening to and having conversations with players, coordinators, and other children.
The cost of the program is $300 and includes pre and post learning materials.
