Purple Bombers has launched its membership offers for 2018 with five different memberships available for Bombers fans.
The Essendon Football Club coterie group’s aim is to create a safe environment for LGBTIQ supporters and players and remove homophobia from football.
Memberships provide fans inside access to the club with entry to several events throughout the year including the Purple Bombers Pride Night held on IDAHOBIT day and the exclusive EFC Coterie Members BBQ.
There are also many opportunities to take part in the third annual EFC Pride Game, which will be played on July 21 against Fremantle at Etihad Stadium.
Purple Bombers President Jason Tuazon-McCheyne said he was excited to provide new family memberships and highlighted that no one is excluded from playing a part in the group.
“Purple Bombers is for everyone, it’s for the LGBTIQ community and also for straight people who want to support the club,” Tuazon-McCheyne said.
“We are family friendly and absolutely for everyone."
After doubling the membership tally last season Tuazon-McCheyne has high hopes to do the same next year.
“We want to double our membership next year to 400 members and have a real presence at Essendon games.”
Essendon is committed to providing a home for all fans, and Tuazon-McCheyne said if you don’t have a team yet then this is clearly the one for you.
“Essendon Football Club wants to be the most inclusive club in the AFL and if you believe in diversity then you can join the Purple Bombers and celebrate with us.”
