Essendon Football Club is calling on supporters to Don The Sash as a 2017 member and be part of the Bombers comeback story.
Essendon coach John Worsfold said the Bombers' comeback to bigger, better and brighter days was well and truly underway.
“The strength of our Club in recent years has been the loyalty and resilience of our members and we are calling on all of our supporters to comeback together and get behind the Club as we enter this exciting new chapter,” Worsfold said
“In 2016 we were challenged but we made positive progress, we made a stand with our loyal members, we remained strong on and off the field, and together we have now built an important platform to launch into the 2017 season and beyond.”
The Club will share every step of the comeback journey with those that matter most, its loyal members. By committing to Don The Sash in 2017, members will be given exclusive access to the Club each week, and can share in the moments, the passion, and the inspirational stories as they unfold across the pre-season.
“We want our members to feel part of the Club and we will continue to find ways to connect with our supporters and bring them on our journey,” Worsfold said
"Every AFL season is tough and the challenges will continue in 2017. But this Club can embrace those challenges in the knowledge it has overcome adversity in the past.”
"We understand that we have a lot of hard work ahead of us, but we are committed in our aim to be the most successful, respected and inclusive club in Australian sport.
“If we can achieve that vision in the years to come, then we will have all played our part in the comeback of the Essendon Football Club."
