The Legends of Essendon’s past and the players of today have come together to celebrate the Premiership Players Dinner.
Terry Daniher, Matthew Lloyd, Mark Harvey, Paul Vander Haar and many others who have played a part in the Club’s 16 premierships were joined by the current playing list at a special function in Melbourne.
The night also marked the 70th anniversary of the Dons 1946 Grand Final win against Melbourne.
Jack Jones and Harold Lambert – who both played in that match - were in attendance.
Paul Weston, a member of both the 1984 and 1985 premiership teams, recounted some of his fond memories from his playing days.
The names of each Essendon premiership player will be featured on this season’s Heritage Guernsey.
The jumper will be worn for the first time against Port Adelaide in round three.
You can purchase your Heritage Guernsey from The Bomber Shop.
