Essendon Football Club is pleased to announce Dan Jordan has been appointed as a Development Coach for the 2016 season.
Jordan’s appointment completes the Club’s Development Coaching panel for the upcoming season, and will see him work alongside Matthew Egan, Paul Corrigan and Mark Corrigan.
Head of Player Development, Matthew Egan, said Jordan brings a great football knowledge and strong work ethic to the Bombers.
“Dan emerged as the standout candidate during the selection process and we believe his experience will have a great impact on the future of our Club,” Egan said.
“Dan’s appointment further strengthens our experienced Development Coaching team, and we’re really looking forward to providing our talented young playing list with a professional environment that will prepare them for the rigours required to play at the elite level.”
Jordan has been a member of the Club’s VFL coaching team for the past two seasons as a forward coach in 2014 and defensive coach in 2015.
The 34 year-old said he looks forward to furthering his coaching career at Essendon.
“I’m excited to be joining Essendon as a Development Coach in 2016,” Jordan said.
“Having previously worked with Matt, Paul and Mark during my time with the VFL team, I think we are in a great position to help lead this club through what will be an incredibly exciting year in 2016 and beyond.”
Dan will officially commence his role with the Club on January 6.
