After an 18-month wait for his Essendon debut, Shaun Edwards quickly displayed his undoubted talent.
He opened his Bombers goal kicking account with an outside of the boot snap early in the match against eventual Grand Finalists, West Coast.
Edwards arrived at the Bombers after 12 games with GWS.
He was made to work hard for his first game in red and black, spending the entire 2014 season in the VFL.
But midway through 2015 he was given his chance and went on to play nine games for the season.
The 21 year old stands 190 centimetres tall, but has the agility of a rover.
He can fly for marks and convert long-range attempts at goal.
Edwards returned to his hometown of Darwin during the off-season.
Through the hot Top End spring, the exciting Bomber undertook an intensive training regime before returning to Melbourne ahead of the start of pre-season training later this month.
