Essendon Football Club has thanked Nick O’Brien for his service and dedication after advising him that he will not receive a new contract for the 2016 season.
List and Recruiting Manager, Adrian Dodoro said Nick had a fantastic work ethic and was a popular member amongst the playing group.
“Nick worked extremely hard on key components of his game, and he was rewarded with regular senior football in the back half of this season,” Dodoro said.
“He is a wonderful young man and is a much loved member of the dressing room.
“On behalf of everyone at the Essendon Football Club we wish Nick all the best in the next chapter of his career.”
O’Brien made played 14 senior games for the Bombers during his four seasons at the Club.
The Club has also de-listed Will Hams but is committed to re-drafting the 21 year-old at this month’s NAB Rookie Draft.
