Mitchell Hibberd has had to work hard to establish himself as one of the top prospects in this year’s National Draft.

The 19-year-old suffered a horror run with injuries over the last two years, having had both knee and shoulder  reconstructions.

After 18 months out of the game, Hibberd returned in 2015 and immediately displayed some excellent form in  Tasmania’s under-18 competition.

At 190cm, Hibberd has a strong ability to gather the ball across the half-back line and rebound from the defensive 50.

Why pick him?

  • Strong marking ability
  • Great fitness and agility
  • Run and carry out of defence
