Dustin Fletcher will return to the Club in 2016 in a new role.

The recently retired defender has been appointed to a new game-day role, which will see him work closely with various membership groups throughout the season.

CEO Xavier Campbell last night announced the appointment saying it was important to keep the 400 gamer involved.

“Fletch is a laconic, laid back character.  He's a fantastic Essendon person and is intrinsic to our history and culture,” Campbell said.

“He will have a role next year, not a full-time role but more of a match-day role.”

Fletcher’s role will see him work closely with the Club’s High Mark Members and also be the new ambassador for the ‘Diamond Dons’.
