A mixture of tactical knowledge and enthusiasm helped land John Worsfold the Essendon Coaching job according to Chairman Paul Little.
Worsfold was announced as the Bombers new Coach today.
“John’s passion, experience and coaching philosophy impressed both the sub-committee and the Board and left us in no doubt that he is the best person to Coach the Essendon Football Club,” Little said.
“John brings a wealth of knowledge having played a significant role in every one of West Coast’s premiership sides.
“John was a fierce competitor on and off the field and led by his actions.
“He demanded extremely high standards of his teammates and is a person of the highest integrity.”
The premiership Coach has signed a three year deal.
“Throughout our process John left us in no doubt that he has the passion to return to coaching and we are delighted to have secured him as Coach,” Little said.
“We look forward to the future with a great sense of excitement and firmly believe he is the right person to lead our football team back in to finals contention.”
