The story of James McQuillan featured on Episode 22 of The Hangar, has been recognised as a finalist at the 2014 Australian Sports Commission Media Awards.

An inspiring story, the piece is a finalist in the category of best profiling of an athlete, team or coach – broadcast media.

The awards ceremony will be held at Dockside in Sydney on Wednesday evening.

Other productions nominated in the same category include Defining Mick Fanning (Network 10), Two weeks in June (SBS) and Slammin’ Sam (Fox Sports).
