Fresh off a bye, the Bombers will be looking to tame the Tigers on Saturday night in the annual Dreamtime at the ‘G blockbuster.
The side will be bolstered by the return of key trio Paul Chapman, Jason Winderlich and Ben Howlett and will be after their fifth win of the season.

The Long Walk
This year marks the tenth anniversary of The Long Walk, following Essendon legend Michael Long’s historic walk to Canberra in 2004 to get the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people back on the national agenda. As part of the celebrations, The Long Walk will host a series of new events including the Fun Walk and the Wellbeing Concert prior to the opening bounce of the annual Dreamtime at the ‘G clash between Essendon and Richmond on Saturday 31 May. The Long Walk – 10 Years Documentary
As a feature of Indigenous Round, Channel 7 will exclusively premiere The Long Walk – 10 Years documentary on Saturday May 31 following the broadcast of the Dreamtime at the G match between Essendon and Richmond. Celebrating the 10th anniversary of The Long Walk and Dreamtime, The Long Walk – 10 Years captures the inspiring story of Essendon champion Michael Long and his enduring journey to put the lives of Indigenous Australians back on the national agenda.
The Long Walk and Essendon Football Club co-produced the documentary that will premiere on Saturday May 31 after the Dreamtime at the G match at 11:00pm and will then be replayed on Sunday June 1 after Channel 7’s Game Day at 11:00am.

Protective Services Officers
Essendon FC and Victoria Police are teaming up for the big Dreamtime match this weekend as the Bombers take on the Tigers. Protective Services Officers will be on the ball as they patrol our stations from the first bounce until well after the final siren to make sure the public get home safely.
