For the second year running, Essendon this week has broken through the 40,000 membership mark.
Once again, Kevin Sheedy has been made the official 40,000th member in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the club.
As of Friday, 8th May Essendon has 40,011 members.
Membership manager, Melissa Chan, thanked all members for getting behind their club in 2009.
""Our membership record last year was 42,000 and, with eight home games still to come after tonight, there is still plenty of time to get onboard and call Essendon My Club,"" she said.
