MEMBERSHIP NEWS UPDATE - March 9

Around 2,500 members will receive their packs in the next few days. The majority of this most recent export includes match-day members with annual reserved seating.

More than 30,500 Essendon supporters have now received their 2010 members kits and thousands more will be sent out each week for the next few weeks. As of today (Tuesday 9th March) the club has 34,748 members.

For people that have not yet received their membership packs, the club has provided an update below and we will update supporters each week in members news.

Reserved Seat Holders

Several hundred members have been contacted to date to confirm their seating request and we are aiming to contact more members in the next few days. The 17th March is still the expected completion date.

The club is working through the many seating request changes and will be contacting members once their seats are allocated. Essendon wants to thank Reserved Seat Holders for their patience as creating a new seating plan is a lengthy process. The club will provide weekly progress updates every Monday in the member news section.

MCG Away Reserved Seats

We have uploaded the majority of the annual 'away' reserved seating requests and approx 1,500 members will receive their member packs and cards reflecting their 'away' seats in the next few days.

The 2010 season is the first time Essendon has had 'away' reserved seats at the MCG.

AFL Club Support members - more kits will be distributed this week

In what has been a first for the 2010 season, Essendon is fulfilling all member packs for all AFL Club Support members (previously this was done by the AFL). The club is awaiting further details from the AFL and will upload this in our system upon receipt to export as many kits as possible. Any AFL Member who has requested a seating change update, please refer to the Reserved Seat Holders update above.

High Mark Members

After receiving feedback from our members over the past few years, the club has negotiated exclusive access to the Laureate Room for 2010. The Laureate Room will replace the Studio. The club has also negotiated reserved seating directly in front of the Laureate Room (Aisle 28), allowing easier access for High Mark members to enter this new exclusive bar. The provision of this new reserved seating will not affect all High Mark members and the club will be in contact with you to discuss any seating changes.

To see where the Laureate Room is located at Etihad Stadium click here. The easiest way to access the Laureate Room is through gate six. People who were High Mark members in 2009 and are yet to renew must do so immediately as Level 2 seating is almost at capacity and you risk missing out.

Interstate Plus members, Life members, Baby Bombers and Pet members

There have been small changes in the 2010 members packs for the four categories mentioned above with the club running a trial with The Promotions Factory. The 100% Australian owned company will deliver the 2010 membership pack from their overseas warehouse as occurs at other AFL Clubs. Members are expected to receive their packs in the mail by the end of next week.

West Australian members should note that there is a waiting list for WA Interstate Plus memberships. All those on the waiting list have been contacted and no further requests can be taken until next year.

Advantage Payment

The club encourages anyone who has signed up on the Advantage Payment option (and has not received their packs) to check their statements and ensure all payments have been made and are up to date. Membership packs are only sent to members with no outstanding payments. 2010 Memberships

Based on feedback from members, the Essendon Football Club has streamlined our 2010 membership packages. We believe our members will find the available options simpler and clearer than in previous years.

2009 members will be able to retain their existing memberships for 2010*. Should you wish to make any changes, the 2010 Membership structure will apply. Please refer to the Membership Brochure for details.

Over the next twelve months, we will finalise our membership packages in preparation for Season 2011 which will see additional improvements in our offerings. Further updates will be provided throughout Season 2010 to keep you well informed of the changes and make any required transition as simple as possible.

Away Games

Members with Reserved seats at Away games will now also have a seat for all away matches at the MCG. These will be on Level 3 of the Olympic Stand (Rows A-L, Sections Q49-57).

Ticketing sales at Windy Hill

The Essendon Football Club will cease to be a fully fledged Ticketmaster Outlet as of Monday the 26th of October, 2009. However, The Essendon Football Club will continue to sell all Essendon Home and Away matches played at Etihad Stadium (Ticketmaster) and the MCG (Ticketek) to
Essendon and AFL Members only.

The Club would like to ensure we provide priority service to our members and supporters, and focus purely on membership and match day ticketing enquiries.

For all Ticketmaster enquiries, please telephone 136 100. The nearest Ticketmaster outlet to Windy Hill is located at Moonee Ponds Central, Shop T16 20 Homer St, Moonee Ponds Central.

Note: Members will be able to purchase tickets for themselves if they hold a membership with entry entitlements to the game. At the time of upgrading to a daily ticket, members will also have the opportunity to purchase additional tickets for non-members.

Members without entry entitlements or members who already hold a season reserved seat will be required to wait until the public on-sale to purchase tickets.

Client Services Match Day Office

A Client Services Officer is available at the following stadiums for all HOME Games only for any membership enquiries. The office is open two hours before the game, closing 30 minutes after kick-off.
